Wrapping Gifts The Simple Way

Gift Wrapping is probably one of my favorite things to do during Christmas, making things look beautiful is my passion, and I happen to have the patience for such a sport.

Being an elf is a lot of work, but oh so fun! All the paper, and the ribbons, and the colors! I absolutely have so much fun with this activity. It was all so easy, honestly I just went to the dollar store, and found this simple brown paper and white paper. The ribbons on the other hand were a bit pricier, luckily my mother had a great collection of them, so I didn't have to spend too much.

I used the Classic Red and White. It's TIMELESS!

What's more beautiful than a natural and organic look, achieved with brown paper and twine. It gives me a Regency period feel.

A punch of green is just perfect to give it an organic look.

Cohesive? Dare I say yes!

I know it's not about the "Presents" but rather about His "Presence", however, I just adore the way they look underneath the Christmas Tree.
Simply Beautiful!

Gifts: Clementine Mini Wreaths

Keeping with the Simply Natural Christmas theme I am following this year, I decided to make simply cute mini Clementine Wreaths, (can you tell I am addicted to making wreaths?)  to give away to our friends and neighbors. Not only is this a natural gift, but very calorie friendly. Seriously healthy!

Oh so fun! And oh so easy! Normally I would have used twine to tie up the clementines, however I couldn't find any twine this year, (perhaps I should have looked harder) so I used a thinner type of "indoor twine", not my favorite string yet, very slippery and not so easy to work with, but the color was just right.

Still, they looked so great! Everyone loved them, I made a few batches of these.

They were so cute and festive that I wanted to keep them for myself.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day, isn't this such a lovely holiday? Heart balloons everywhere, stuffed bears, heart shaped chocolate boxes, and flowers!! i adore flowers, my favorite thing to get every holiday it requires the hubs to buy me something. Just a simple bouquet of flowers will make my day.

This year i wanted to make something cute, and girly, for my little nieces and little sister.

i saw these super cute mail boxes, and i just had to have them. Perfect for V-day. Just a little something to celebrate, and to give for Valentine's day.

Filled them with yummy chocolate and heart shaped confetti i made, with paint swatches and my heart shaped puncher.

i even personalized them with their own sticker monogram.
And a little heart on the front of each mail box.

In Case you Missed my Amazing Guest post this week, click here to learn how to make these super yummy Valentine Treats.

Happy Valentine's Day peeps

{Making Christmas!} Part 4: DIY Reinbeer!

Happy Thursday everyone! It has been such a busy week, as many of you may know, I started training for a new job last week, took my first test this week, and passed, yay!!! I am so proud of myself. Still getting used to the working rythm, 5 days a week, from 9 to 5. Crazy, but loving it.

One of my most favorite things during the Christmas season, is making things and giving them as presents, to family, friends, neighbors, etc.  I wanted to quickly show you a little something that I worked on, this is a fun and cool Christmas gift idea. I love the way it turned out, and it was very affordable and super easy to make. Reinbeer!

I first saw this done with a six pack of Beer, but that wasn't very kid friendly, or Me friendly. So went with Root Beer!

cheapo craft supplies!

Ta Da! And you got Reinbeer for the Holidays!

Aren't they super cutes? I love them, almost want to keep them all, but I love giving fun DIY things. Stay tune for more, I got a lot of catching up to do this weekend, can you believe Christmas is in a few days? Whaaa...

xoxo

DIY: Swatch Greeting Cards

I love paint swatches! They're so fun to play with.

Ok, I have a million of swatches, and I love to use them in every way that I can.
This time I thought I'd use them to make cards. I made 3 different types of cards this month.

Father's Day Cards

This card is in Spanish for my Dad.

It says " 8 Reasons Why You Are A Great Dad"
And everyone in the family (we have a small family) wrote a little message for dad.

This card I made for the hubs.

Since our baby can't write or paint yet, I traced his little foot and hand as his message to daddy.
Plus my message.

Birthday Card

I left 2 others blank for my two other friends to write their own message to Heidi.

Than she can tie it to close the card.

What creative ways have you used your paint swatches?
