Organization: J'Adore Jewelery

Hello again!!!

I know...I know... I have completely neglected all of my friends! Please forgive, there are so many things that have been going on, it's no excuse to just leave you out of the blue. I was promoted at work, and a crazy little Toddler, some health issues, had a little scare last month. I guess you can say, life got in the way of my blogging. I love to blog, and to share all of my projects, having people stop by to admire my work, truly makes me love and motivates me to keep doing it. I truly appreciate all of the support I receive from everyone that follows. Well, that being said, now that I have come back again, for the third time (embarrassing) I have some projects I would like to share with you.

Now that spring is the air...literally! I have been itching to compliment my makeup station, the one I shared a while back? with my new Jewelry Station.

Lately I have been obsessed with Acrylic organizers, why not?  Obsession Alert! They're fun and chic and see through (what better way to display treasures?) girly, glamarous and timeless! I love them!

See what I mean?

Aren't these bowls lovely? Got em at Anthropologie, and the fish too!

I love jewelry, and honestly I used to collect and never wear. Why? Because I never used to see it. Now that it's on display, I know what I have, and I wear what I want.

026

I cannot get enough of the pull out drawers!

023

I love how colorful it looks. So cheeky!

031

Doesn't it compliment the makeup just fabulous?

Talk about Beauty Stations, this one is my absolute favorite!

What do you think?

Thank you so much for paying a visit. Now go and glam up your jewels!

DIY: Hotel Key Holder

****Happy New Year****

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a safe holiday, I did, and it was a super busy one too. Seriously, since day one of 2014 I have been working like crazy, due to the crazy storm Hercules in the east coast. Phew, glad that's over with.

So today I wanted to show you how I decided to start my new year, organization/DIY. I have so many keys laying around the house, car keys, house keys, parents house keys, shed, storage, you name it! Who doesn't have a million keys raise your hand! Well, I have been meaning to do this since last summer, but I never go around to it, but I decided this year was the year to do it! I have been greatly inspired by this beautiful vintage look, hotel key holder.

(I apologize in advance for the picture sizes, for some reason on iphones the pictures are extra large)

I just had to have! Found one in Anthropologie for about $60. Umm, no way! Did some research and was able to do it for less than $30. I already had paint, and super super glue.  All I needed was:

A piece of Wood
Screw on hooks
book plates
brads
spray paint
 and a lot of patience!

Found this expensive but perfect piece of wood at the craft store.

I love that it already had some character and nice trim

So I started by using some bookplates, also bought in the Craft Store, they didn't have a package with the same size, so I had to buy three different boxes, with variety of sizes, so that I would have enough to have all be the same size.

Did some measuring, just to find the perfect spot to Glue them.

Painted, used some left over paint from my Armoire, featured on Woman's Day Magazine

If you take a look, I inserted the brads and bent them in a way that they would not show when I glued the book plates on the wood. I had to do this in order to give it a super clean and well put together look. Not only for the look, but because there is no way I could install the brads through the wood. So that's why Glue became my best friend in this project.

Used some metallic spray paint, the copper/gold like color was the perfect contrast with this Georgian Silver paint. So beautiful! I sprayed the bookplates with brads already inserted, as well as the hooks. For a uniformed look.

Got a hook to install on the back of the wood, to hang.

Than on to the tricky and time consuming part, use the E-6000, this glue is crazy powerful! Seriously works on anything! Be careful with the fumes, super strong. So I started by gluing one book plate by one.

Like so...

Than I screwed on the hooks right underneath the middle of each bookplate.

Love love love...

Probably one of my favorite projects yet!

Lets hang this baby!

Don't you just love that pop of gold contrasting on the gray?

And now for the almost final touch, labels!

And for the finale! The keys!

Not too shabby!

Well, what do you think? Do you like? Was it easy? What colors/techniques would you have used? Write me an email or send me a shout out, I want to hear from you. Thanks for stopping by. Love ya!

Organization: Medicine Cabinet from Nightmare to Dream

It's been a while since I've organized my bathroom, and believe me, it needed it bad! Since we moved upstairs I haven't had much time to do much detail organizing. I decided enough is enough, look how horrible my medicine cabinet looked! So not fun to look at, just boring stuff!

So I cleaned and cleared!

Next it was time to pretty things up A LOT! So of course, TJ Maxx has the prettiest wrapping paper out there for as little as $3 per roll! I love it!!
I love using wrapping paper instead of contact paper, since super pretty contact paper is hard to find, wrapping paper works the same way.

002

What a dramatic difference!

From Blah to Glam: Makeup Station Update

It's about time I update my makeup station, with so much inspiration on Pintrest, I couldn't resist updating. Remember my old station? Don't get me wrong, I completely love my DIY TrayLicious. But it was time to update.

So, I got me these beauty over at my favorite store, Homegoods.

Whimsical Toy Storage Reveal

i'm back!!! So sorry I completely neglected my awesome blogger friends! please forgive. This summer has been the busiest summer of all my life. So many updates that I have to show you. And also much work in progress. I hope you have all been having a great summer, and now that it's coming to a closing, it's oh so fun to see the leaves changing colors, the cool breeze in the morning and at night. sigh... good ol fall! Well, without much more talking, let me show you how I completed Nolan's toy storage solution. Remember what it used to look like?

Terrible right? And remember how we found the coolest sale ever!!

Remember the uplift of this baby?

Well now here is the end result!

I made sure not to put any legs on the cool divider. Little ones tend to horde things down and under. To avoid bending over cleaning over and over again, problem solved. No legs. This way it's also easy to reach books and whatnot.

Check this awesome file divider! I have been dying for one of these for about a year now, all the ones I found were online $40 or more plus shipping. Fortunately Target never lets me down. I grabbed the last of these, perfect for back to school, only $10 bucks!! Yeehaa!!

Shoe boxes, with gray lids! Target too of course. Perfect for storing little toys, and they're clear so you can see what's inside.

Perfect color combo, TJ Maxx baby! I love this bin, super cute!

Target dollar section, I got a bunch of these for Nolan's whimsical first birthday party. Perfect to grab and carry around. He puts little things in there, super cute!

Mission Accomplished! Well, what do you think?

Thank you for visiting me after so long, you are all amazing!!!
