DIY: Cheap Magazine Filer Makeover

I really wanted a cute magazine holder with stripes after seeing this awesome post!

Plus I needed to organize my collection of BHG magazines that I started since 2010, so this was the perfect opportunity to do so.

So all I did to save some bucks, I went to my local IKEA, bought the 5/$1.99 magazine holders, plain white, and cheap looking right!

All you need is paint! I used acrylic paint, my choice of color of course. And tape it up!

 

And I added labels to cover up the hole, so much better!

I organized my magazines so that each filer had a year, and each magazine would go to its corresponding year.

Yay! I love the way they look, this makeover was super easy!!

All for a total of $3 with paint and supplies.
