From Blah to Glam: Makeup Station Update

It's about time I update my makeup station, with so much inspiration on Pintrest, I couldn't resist updating. Remember my old station? Don't get me wrong, I completely love my DIY TrayLicious. But it was time to update.

So, I got me these beauty over at my favorite store, Homegoods.

I love the acrylic organizers, they are so simple, so chic, and you can see everything you have. Loving the drawers.

I love to come into my room, just to open these drawers, and look how beautiful and organized all my makeup looks.

How convenient that I already had an acrylic divider. Look how amazing the makeup brushes look, and all of the mascaras, eyeliners, and lipsticks displayed.

Don't forget the most exquisite fragrances a girl could ever have. Sigh...displaying all of this makes me feel like a princess.

If it Looks Good, It Smells Good!

Today I want to share just a quick and witty way on how to display and organize your fragrances more efficiently. A little example of a little dream come true!

Loni had all of these great fragrances all thrown in this old shoe box.

You can see her reflection, hahaha!

We got something very similar to this, but not quite this piece.

I love this because it has so many purposes, we got it in the kitchen section at IKEA, now she can see exactly what she has, she can take and use easily, rather than looking and searching for a certain fragrance in a shoe box, and the tray has divisions. Which makes it so much cooler for his and hers.

She likes to place it in her walk-in-closet!

Woohooo!! Gotta love this!
Thanks for stopping by today.

Re-Organizing Essentials

Boy, do I love organizing closets or what? My only regret this time, was the lack of before pictures, I feel horrible and such a slacker! Anyway, I will show you the end result, you don't always have to purchase containers to organize, Shop you home first!

That is what we did with Loni's linen closet in her bathroom. She loves beauty products, and believe me, they were everywhere. She already had all of the right elements to organize with, the only mistake was that they were just everywhere. But we put them all together on the same shelf.

Hey, life isn't perfect, there will be times when we will be too busy, running late, or too lazy to put everything where it belongs, this is the perfect example of that, because life gets too crazy at times. That being said, remember to take at least 1 day and 1 hour of the month to re-organize 1 closet, maybe 2 or 3 depending on your time, the size of your closet, and if it needs to be re-organized at all.

So we re-organized her closet, we just took everything out, and re-organized it.
Color cordinated all of her towels.

And stored other things easy to grab when in need, like toilet paper!

And of course something very very important, and very essential for me, is to LABEL everything!!! Labels are your best friend when re-organizing, why? because they will always help you stay organized, how you may ask? Well, when you read the label, brushes, you know that's where brushes belong, so you put all of your brushes in the same spot, rather than one in the drawer, the other in the closet, the other on the sink, and the other, where is the other??? My point exactly!

A shelf just for Hair
And speaking of brushes, you see the bin with just brushes? Bliss!

Thank you for visiting today, and go tackle that closet of yours, I know you have been wanting to do it for a while and I know you've been putting it off.

Happy Organizing!

Beauty Station: from Blah to Glam!

I never used to display my makeup, I used to only carry it in a makeup baggie, I'm not very high maintenance you see, and I've always considered myself a minimalist. Keeping spaces neat, clean, with not very many things popping everywhere. Lately though, I've been feeling giddy and eager to show off my girly and luxurious side off.

These makeup spaces are so glamorous and fun, and oh so organized!

Why not? I've always loved the way girly things make a vanity look, I just always avoided crowdedness, and too much pop. But I just love these products so much, I finally decided to do it.

Still, it didn't look as glam and romantic as I was craving, so I took it to the next level, and I DIY a very delicious Tray.

What do you think? Doesn't it look more glamorous?
I just love the way this Tray makes my beauty space look, it adds so much luxury.
